Late Submission

The penalty for late submission of a piece of coursework is that the coursework is failed. If you, for genuine reasons, are unable to meet the hand in date, please complete a Coursework Extension form and inform the Module Co-ordinator.

Word Length

You are required to submit 2 components of assessment. These will be 1500 words each.  The School word limit policy will apply and can be found on the moodle page. If the Word count of submitted work is more than 10% over the specified word limit then the grade will be reduced to the next lowest grade.

You must include a statement on the front cover of your work that gives the word count.

Appended material should not exceed three pages.

Coursework Process

It is a normal requirement of the module that you submit two coursework’s and all students evidence participation in the tutorial-based presentations and discussions of the coursework questions.  Participation consists of effective group work to successfully deliver a presentation and taking part in the discussions.

To get stated review the process…

Firstly, do the presentation- there are 6 questions in this document from which students must choose one and present their work in a group.

Then two written courseworks,

Coursework 1, Students are expected to choose one of the three questions in coursework 1 and write up as a report

Coursework 2, Students are expected to choose one of the three questions in coursework 2 and write up as a report

Please note

  • The presentation is normally group work
  • The written components should be treated as individual submissions.
  • I personally advise you to keep your turnitin score below 20.
  • Your coursework submission does not need to be on the question you present in class.
  • Topic choice is at the discretion of the student.

Particaption in Discussion Activities

The assignment criteria for this coursework are that 10% of the overall grade relates to participation in group work and discussion activities.
