The practice of health care providers at all levels brings you into

contact with people from a variety of faiths. This calls for knowledge and acceptance of a

diversity of faith expressions, so this is the basis for this paper. The first paragraph of your paper

is your introduction paragraph. This should be approximately five to eight sentences in length

and explain to the audience what your paper is about. This introduction paragraph should

describe the paper well enough that by the time your audience is done reading this paragraph,

they have a really good idea of exactly what this paper will be about. For this paper, you will be

essentially discussing three different faiths and then you will be providing a comparative analysis

of the philosophy of providing care from the perspective of these faiths and/or individuals with

that of the Christian perspective.

In a minimum of 1,250 words, you will summarize the interviews or research and provide

a comparative analysis of the different belief systems, reinforcing major themes with insights

gained from your research. In addition, you will answer the following questions based on either

the individuals that you interview or the faith belief that you research: What is your spiritual

perspective on healing? What are the critical components of healing, such as prayer, meditation,

belief, etc.? What is important to people of a particular faith when cared for by health care

providers whose spiritual beliefs differ from their own?

First faith

Under this heading, discuss your first faith. Be sure you initially provide enough info on

the background of the faith that your audience gets an overview from which to base their

philosophy of the faith and major beliefs systems of the faith.
