You have been assigned to a project team to develop a new product or service for your organization. This may be installing new equipment, a new production line, installing a new computer information system, or other activity that would fit as a project in your organization. You must first decide on the type of project activity and descript this project and how it fits in your organization.
Develop a project scope. This should include a project history (narrative), complete with an overview of the project, identifiable goals, and the general project management approach. Any significant constraints should be discussed including funding limitations. This should include a statement of the intent of the project. Why is this project important? What special niche does it fill in the organizations portfolio?

This write-up serves two purposes. First, it sets the stage for the project and the work you will be completing during the rest of the semester. Second, this is your sales pitch. This write-up should contain all the information you need to sell this project to others in your organizations, both the leadership and those you will want to join your project team.
The paper should be double spaced, font of 12, with standard 1” margins. Formal 3rd person tone should be used. References and citations should be as per APA Publications Manual (6th ed.). There should be a cover page that includes title of the paper, course, your name, and the date. I expect the paper to be 5 to 7 pages in length not counting the cover page and the references. The rubric for this assignment is posted in our class and will be used to assess this paper.
